Godrej Cattle Genetics farm is located at the outskirts of Nashik, Maharashtra between the pastoral vineyards.
The herd is growing and in 2023 comprised of around 1222 heads yielding on average 28.70 Kg per day in 305 days. The farm is mostly made up of primarily exotic breeds mainly Holstein Friesian and Jersey but also includes some Indigenous breeds like Gir maintained in hygeinic environment. Our highest yielding animal in 2023 produced an average of 47.3 Kg of milk per day in 305 days and peaked at 57.8 Kg. She produced a total of 14,429 kg in her third lactation!
This extraordinarily high yield is not simply "milk". It is rich, top-quality milk, with remarkably low bacterial and somatic cell counts: Average fat 4.2%, average SNF 9.0 and average protein 3.4%.
